In order to improve the service life of the middle groove of the scraper conveyor, we explore the methods to improve material wear resistance without increasing its hardness. By adding titanium, carbon and other elements to conventional wear-resistant steel plate material, after smelting, rolling, heat treatment and other processes, a large number of micron-size TiC hard particles are dispersed in conventional martensite matrix, which changes wear-resistant mechanism in the use of steel plate. When steel plate is worn out by abrasives such as coal gangue and quartz sand, TiC particles hinder the formation of grinding groove or make groove depth shallower, thus to reduce the wearing of steel plate. The service life of equipment is prolonged without increasing equipment manufacturing cost. Through single test and comparison test under the same working conditions, the worn out rate of the new wear-resistant deck plate after conveying one million tons of coal is brought down by over 1/ 3 than that of plate, and the wear-resistance is better than that of imported materials of the same hardness level, which provides solid technique support for improving the reliability of scraper conveying equipment and realizing safe and efficient mining of coal.
