产业集聚对企业绿色创新的影响———基于ESG表现的调节作用

In order to explore the relationship between industrial agglomeration and enterprise green innovation, based on the green patent data of listed companies in the decade from 2011 to 2021, the industrial agglomeration index of China’ s prefecture-level cities was matched to the enterprise level, andthen the fixed-effect model was used to empirically test the relationship between industrial agglomeration degree and enterprise green innovation. The empirical results indicate that the degree of urban industrial agglomeration is conducive to promoting enterprise green innovation, and ESG performance positively adjusts the relationship between industrial agglomeration degree and enterprise green innovation.Furthermore, through heterogeneity analysis, it is found that there is regional heterogeneity, enterpriseheterogeneity and industry heterogeneity in promoting green innovation of enterprises. The results of regional heterogeneity analysis show that the role of industrial agglomeration in promoting enterprise greeninnovation is significant in the central and western regions, but industrial agglomeration has a greatercontribution of enterprise green innovation in the central and western regions than eastern regions. Therole of industrial agglomeration in promoting green innovation of enterprises is significant in key citiesof environmental protection, but not in non-key cities of environmental protection. The analysis of enterprise heterogeneity shows that industrial agglomeration has a significant impact on the green innovationof non-state-owned enterprises and small-scale enterprises, but it is not significant in state-owned enterprises and large-scale enterprises. The analysis of industry heterogeneity according to industry groupsshows that the impact of industrial agglomeration on enterprise green innovation is significant in hightech industries but not in non-high-tech industries. The research conclusion provides a theoretical basisfor improving the level of enterprise green innovation and provides a basis for the government to makedecisions. It is conducive to enterprises to effectively use the opportunities brought by industrial agglomeration such as knowledge flow and enterprise cooperation, improve their own green innovation level, and gain competitive advantage.
